One month. For shorter time periods please contact our staff for a tailored storage solution.
You are not required to pay a deposit, but if you would like to put a deposit down to book the unit, you are welcome to. When you move in, we will apply that deposit to your first month of storage and you will only need to pay the remainder on the day you move in. Reservations via our website require a deposit.
The storage agreement sets out the terms and conditions of the expectations between the storage operator and the storage centre and it clearly spells out the rights and obligations of each party.
You will need to come into the storage centre to complete your paperwork as we will need to take copies of two forms of ID and have you sign the storage agreement.
We can provide complimentary move-in trailers and we can recommend a removalist if needed.
We have a very large range of sizes to suit all requirements. You should talk to your preferred storage centre to determine the sizes available. There may be different sizes available at other locations.
All centres have a wide range of sizes, so if you have more stuff than you originally thought, we can usually move you into a larger unit.
If you run out of space, you can either transfer your goods into a larger unit, or you can take a second storage unit out under your name. You will need to complete a new storage agreement for the new unit.
No, you are not automatically covered, so we strongly recommend that you organise insurance when moving in.
A “hardstand” is an outdoor space that is generally occupied by vehicles and boats. It is open to the elements.
No. All outdoor units are constructed in a way that prevents normal rainwater from entering the units.
Yes. We provide a self-serviced bin and a minimal cost is placed on the amount you wish to dispose of. Just speak to centre staff to organise this.
Clause 8.1 of the terms and conditions in your storage agreement states that you must give not less than seven (7) days’ notice of your intention to move out.
As the contract is for a minimum of one month, we only refund whole months of prepaid rent. When you know your intended move-out date, you will need to let our staff know before making your payment so we can pro-rata your payment. This way, you don’t have to pay for more than you need. That payment will need to be made over the phone or in our office.
Contact our storage consultants at your local centre to discuss your options.
The cost of your storage space will depend on the amount of space you require.
Yes, we have specials, but they will vary from location to location and from time to time. To get the best deal, talk to your preferred storage location.
We work from a monthly renewable contract, so this means you will automatically be billed for the next month when your rent expires. We send your invoice to you two weeks in advance, so if you know you will be moving out, you can give us notice to move out. If you would like to prepay for six months or 12 months at a time to receive a discount, you need to contact our office to apply the discount before the due date and we will arrange for a new invoice to be sent to you and we can take payment.
We do everything we can to ensure your goods are as safe as they would be if they were in your home. We have 24-hour video surveillance throughout our centres and many centres have individually alarmed doors. At some centres we also have a manager living on site for further security.
This means that the manager of the centre actually lives on site, usually above the office, so he/she is available to assist at times that may be outside office hours.
Most storage centres have a PIN access system for entry and exit of the main gate. All storage centres have video cameras strategically placed around the storage centre to monitor the premises 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
No. Self-storage means you pack your unit with your goods, you lock the unit with your own padlock and you hold the only key. The centre staff do not hold a key to your storage space – only you can access your goods.
We advise that you do not give your code out to anyone other than the person you have nominated to have access on your contract. This protects both you and other unit holders.
If you enter an incorrect code, the system will not recognise you and you will not be given access. You can try as many times as you like. If our office is open, just bring your photo ID in and our staff will assist you with your code. If this happens after hours and it is an emergency, you can refer to your storage agreement, or call the emergency contact number posted near the entrance of the storage centre.
Access to your unit will depend on the storage location. The staff there can confirm access availability.
If your account is paid up to date, you can access your storage space whenever you need to, subject to the centre access hours. The access hours will vary from centre to centre, so you would need to check with your storage centre of choice.
Yes, you can speak to the relevant centre manager and an arrangement may be agreed upon depending on the circumstances. A fee may apply for a longer period of extended access.
